I'm a freelance book reviewer on the side (ie it's not my day job) and I review a ton of music books, mainly on my favorite bands and musicians. I've recently been reviewing a lot of Smiths books so I figured some of you may be interested in reading the reviews:

I have this version of Songs That Saved Your Life. Is it any different to the one you reviewed, do you know?
I always liked Goddard's more than Rogan's, which went into too much detail on the family history of Morrissey and Marr. It's years since I read it, but I remember thinking that I was about a third of the book in before they met. But for me it's about the music rather than the personalities, so I'm influenced by that.
Incidentally, Grant Showbiz told me that he leant Johnny Rogan all his tapes so that he could catalogue the gigs.
