Did anyone get a chance to listen to the whole CD via streaming (NPR) this week? It took a few listens for me, but it's growing on me. What do you guys think? Think I like it better than his previous collection. Anyway, some reviews are out - all interesting opinions:

I liked it. A few I could do without but overall very good.

It's got some great tracks on it and one or two not so great ones. Definitely worth not ignoring, but it's been described as his best album since Vauxhall, which I think is overdoing it quite a bit. The songwriting is just not as strong as it was during the naughties. Has a few definite musical references to The Smiths as well. The closing track is almost a cover of Death Of a Disco Dancer and one of the others breaks off into the coda of Please Please Please. Not sure what to make of that.

I'll have a listen if it's on Spotify. My expectations are so low that I may be pleasantly surprised.

i felt very much the same... nothing against the man. i just try not to create them in order to have that surprise - and i must say that i am in a more positive way than i expected. regardless of the specifics of the songs the voice will always be a lovely instrument to my ears...

I think it's a great album with some refreshed sound but in the beginning my problem was the spanish thing in most of the songs. Now is one of my favorite albums by Moz so full of interesting music and emotions.Tobias has some really interesting ideas and compositions on this album.
