Thanks traveller. For what it's worth, it seems that this has come from vinyl at some point. You can heard a bump at the start of track 9.

Hmm. Could be. Wouldn't be surprising since there were so many Smiths vinyl boots in the 80s. I've got a pristine copy of 'So This Is America' that I bought in '88. I've been wanting to do a good transfer of it for a long time.
Is there a vinyl boot for the Hull show?

Yeah, I think there was a vinyl boot called (imaginatively) Hull University.

No vinyl boot of the Hull show as far as I ever recall and I'm a pretty avid collector of the vinyl boots. Is it definitely the Hull show?
A transfer of So This Is America would be good Traveller if you get a chance. That's a good show.
