Genius Steals is a fairly popular bootleg. It seems to be a complete show aside
from 'Cemetry Gates' which is missing between track 12 and track 13.
There's a powerful version of The Draize Train followed by an good version of
How Soon Is Now, with Johnny doing some interesting fills.
Sounds a little bit too speeded up (to my ears) but I haven't tried to do
anything too clever with it; it's just a clean rip from my silver CD.

The Smiths decided to make a minor change to the setlist. The slower number
"Never Had No One Ever" was dropped in favour of the rocking "Shakespeare's
Sister", played for the first time on this leg of the tour. Actually the
delivery of the songs was also harder. Morrissey growled many songs lyrics.
The band started to look exhausted, and tension behind the scenes were
starting to show on stage. Johnny Marr made numerous guitar miscues and
Morrissey seemed rather unenthusiastic.
In "The Queen Is Dead", Morrissey changed a line to "stuck like a boar between
arches" instead of "hemmed in like a boar between arches". In "There Is A
Light That Never Goes Out", he didn't sing the repeated title chorus at the
end as he does on the "The Queen Is Dead" album. Before "Shakespeare's
Sister", Mike teased the audience with the drum intro to "Reel Around The
Fountain", a song that wasn't played on this tour. The audience were still
treated to a new addition to the setlist, as "Shakespeare's Sister" hadn't
been played so far on this British leg of the "The Queen Is Dead" tour. In the
song Morrissey repeated "Throw your skinny body down!" instead of "Throw your
white body down!" Morrissey introduced "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side"
with the words "This song isn't too bad, 'The Boy With The Thorn In His Side'."
Before "Is It Really So Strange?", Morrissey said "Thank you for requesting '
Handsome Devil', but we dropped it three years ago." In "London", he growled
"She knows that when he goes, my God he goes!" At the beginning of "Meat Is
Murder" Johnny picked the first notes from The Doors' "The End". Two drummers,
Mike Joyce and Fred Hood (from the Marr-produced Impossible Dreamers), played
on the first encore comprising "The Draize Train" and "How Soon Is Now?". In
"Still Ill" which was played with a slightly extended intro, Morrissey
slightly changed a line to "If I were you I really wouldn't bother".
Brief footage from this concert was shown on the French programme Les Enfants
Du Rock in November 1986 along an interview with Morrissey.
BOOTLEGS
A reasonably good audience recording of this gig was first released on the
'official' double LP bootleg "Brixton Academy Friday 20/10/86" (yes the date
is incorrect). The whole concert was featured except for "Cemetry Gates". A
bit of Billy Bragg talking to his audience was found at the end of side 4.
This was transfered onto fanmade compact discs with similar artwork.
This recording was reissued on fanmade bootleg cd with the same title and same
artwork, and is also found on the 'official' bootleg cd titled
"Genius Steals", without the Romeo And Juliet intro and the Billy Bragg
snippet. The latter is also offered in the same artwork in black and white
instead of orange.
Both bootlegs are available on file sharing networks on the internet.
This concert was filmed from the audience and is circulating in its entirety
on bootleg VHS. At this point in time it hasn't been transfered onto DVD. An
alternate audio bootleg available from bootleg traders but not on the internet
might have been lifted from this DVD.

Is it possible for someone to reseed this torrent?
I've been stuck at about 60% for some time now.
Thanks.

Could someone help finish this one off please. Currently at 99.9%.
Also, PJLM mentioned a remastered version of this. Anyone have it?

Considering only the following have it you may have more luck by PMing them and asking for it seeding.
McB, stephenb, tiojesus, recordscans, cheesestraws, ownZero, Arpal, scottm, isobel, silver, wiseass73
Only a couple of those sound familiar so it may be the others don't come on here anymore.
If you press the DL and Torrent Activity bit it lists everyone who's downloaded it, click their username and it'll tell you when they were last logged on here.

Annoying, isn't it?
I seeded the original version but lost it in a hard disc crash. I have the original CD sitting next to me so I tried to rip it again using the same settings. Unfortunately it was ripped and compressed using versions of EAC and FLAC which are now four years old, so while the track sounds the same, it's not byte-for-byte the same so I can't seed it.

Just delete the thread and do a new torrent, would be the easiest solution.

My name is Daniel. I am new to this site and still don't know everything I need to. I see that right now I cannot download anything. Could you explain to me what I need to do to get Smiths cred so I can download files freely? In the meantime, it would be completely ace of you (I'm talking Diamond Geezer) if you would give me permission to download this boot. Thank you for your time and effort in this matter.

Hedgepig, I don't think you need anything special to be able to d/l stuff. If you are registered, which it appears you are, you should be able to start. What exactly are you doing, and what is preventing you?
