good recording direct from Mark Jackson's master.

Morrissey's return to perform in his home country, where the press and a
portion of his old audience was after him, turned out rather well. The concert
was a very good but uneventful one. Morrissey and his musicians were not as
energetic as they were on the recent American dates, but they still gave a
good performance. The crowd was very enthusiastic, singing along and breaking
into chants of Morrissey's name on many occasions. Very few of the fans
managed to make it on stage.
There was no surprise in the setlist which returned to the earlier standard of
18 songs. "Jack The Ripper" had finally been released earlier that week, so
some fans in the audience might have been familiar with it.
After opener "You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side", the crowd broke into
the first of many chants of Morrissey's name. After "Glamorous Glue",
Morrissey tried to say something, starting "So err... so..." but never
managed to finish what he meant to say. Morrissey picked up a pair of maracas
at the beginning of "You're The One For Me Fatty" and shook them during the
first verse, then sent them flying into the crowd. He did the same later on,
at the beginning of "The Loop", with a tambourine.
In "Girl Least Likely To", Morrissey made the usual lyrics changes as well as
a less common one, "standing round the shops with chips". Before and after
"We'll Let You Know", the impatient crowd chanted Morrissey's name again.
After "Sister I'm A Poet", Morrissey tried once again to say something, and
like before, didn't get anywhere: "Well err... I err..". After "Suedehead",
the crowd went again into another major chant of Morrissey's name. During
"Jack The Ripper"'s intrumental bridge, Morrissey collapsed onto the floor,
then got up to resume the song.
BOOTLEGS
An audience recording of the full concert minus opener "You're Gonna Need
Someone On Your Side" is circulated on bootleg DVDs. The filming was done
from the right balcony. The footage is shaky and the sound quality is
average.
Two different audience recordings are available on audio only on the
internet. The one usually found on MP3 format sounds rather good while the
one usually found on WMA format doesn't. Both feature the full concert.
