You can never have too much disk space with all these torrents.
Here's a bargain i thought i'd share, i don't have anything to do with the company by the way, just passing it on!

Just thought I would put in my $0.02...
i just added a 2 TB disk to my collection. It doesn't seem to work too well. Both windows and linux seem to lose sight of it after a few hours and it has to be reattached. My 1.5 TB disk and 1.0TB disk drives seem to work well.
Anybody else seen issues with the 2.0 TB models?

I bought one of these. Mostly because it has a built in torrent client that seeds all the torrents here without needing a PC.

My advice is to get a HP MediaSmart WHS. You can backup your systems, it integrates with iTunes, can server as a time capsule if you have a Mac, and you can add hard drives to it on the fly while continuing to seed mroe shows.... :)

I'm about to start investigating hard drives, I only have a 500gb external (3/4 used) and at the rate I'm getting stuff from here I'll need a new one in a few months!
The hard drives angryelvis & DavidA posted look really good.
The buffalo link station's ability to seed all your torrents without a pc is a great option to have, so that looks good.
However, the HP MediaSmart would be good for a long time as it's expandable upto 17TB!
That's if you use the 4 internal bays & USB ports for more external drives.
Think I'd prefer high capacity over seeding with pc option though, I'll look into them more.
Thanks for the info

No idea what version it is. It's whatever comes installed with the Buffalo. Works fine.
Every now and then they upgrade to a new version, but I haven't bothered. Also, you could hack linux into it and configure it however you want but again, I haven't felt the need.

Prices on the Buffalo are cheaper since I last posted, just a quick look and found it for approx. £115, so I'm leaning towards it now.
Really need the space, that's why I haven't been on here for a while, no room at the inn!
A few Q's if you don't mind David:
Are you impressed with this?
Has the HD been reliable?
Could find anyway but is it expandable?
Is the torrent client easy to set-up?
Cheers

I'm not sure how impressed you can be with an external hard disk, but yes, it's good.
Has the HD been reliable?
Perfectly. It's been running non-stop since I bought it. No problems.
Could find anyway but is it expandable?
Yes. You can plug a non-NAS USB hard drive into it, I think. You can't change the main drive though.
Is the torrent client easy to set-up?
Yes. It comes pre-installed. I would think it's tricky if you wanted to modify it, but if you can deal with the ugly user interface (as in the screenshot) then it's fine.
Oh, and it's a lot quieter, cheaper and reliable than my Drobo.
