This was one of the smallest venues I've seen Morrissey at ... pretty much a Student Union Bar really. There was a bar at the far end of the Hall, with 2 steps down to a lowered floor which led to the stage. The stage itself was quite small, with speaker stacks either side. The stacks were facing out before the lowered bit, so I positioned myself on the left hand side, at the top of the steps, but still close to the speakers. This gave me great audio ... and a pretty good view of the action, which don't generally go together.
Morrissey was apparently not feeling that well that night, but the smallness of the venue (and it was packed) made the show seem very intimate, which more than made up for anything lacking in the performance itself.
Another very good recording ... even if I do say so myself.
Recorded with DPA4061 mics into Sony D100 DAT recorder.

Tremendously impressed by the shows you've seen and the quality of your boots. Someday I owe you a pint.

had to throw in another comment, since listening to this show, I can see how even though the years have passed the quality of your tapes are still the same, perfect compliments to anyone who attended such shows.
I may be in England next year with my brother (who's a travel agent), and if all goes well, at the first pub we get to, a big toast in your honor, steve! 8)

Thanks once again - I went to UEA once, back in the 80s - pretty weird then, and I don't supposed it's changed much .
