This was the first bootleg we got from the US ... although I don't think we got it until 1986. These things took a little longer in those days. I believe we got this direct from the taper ... although I'm not sure whether this is the 1st gen copy or a 2nd gen. Paul has one, I have the other.
Anyway ... a great recording and a great show.

Hi Steve,
it's very kind of you that you are beginning to share the bootlegs of your collection ...
It's a little bit sad that your own Soundsville-Series is over now ...
But it's still a wonderful friday night ... with something to leech from my hero Steve ...
Thanks a lot for all your work ... and your kindness in sharing all these wonderful moments with us.
Greetings
Stubs

this is awesome, I was just listening to my copy (that I received in trade) from a trader/collector named Angel Everett.....but it's like the previous one, missing the infamous "BBAH" performance...
so thanks again!

Interesting to contrast the extended Barbarism from this date with the one from Beacons NY, as the Smiths were generally quite tight musically it makes a real change to hear Johnny improvising - i suspect Morrissey would have hated it though!
Did they do an extended Barbarism on the entire tour? Was it unique to that US tour?
Think i'll download the Boston date now..... looking at the file sizes the Boston date doesn't look to have an extended Barbarism.

Thanks for this one as well. I am on a fierce Smiths kick lately and hadn't seen this one before. Nice to get an 85 from the North American leg. As always, big thanks to the seeders.
