I can just confirm it's true. The album is available on well-known torrent sites.
Unfortunately, the tracks are 256kbps MP3s, but transcoded from a lower-bitrate source. Therefore, the quality is not that great.

I have to say that I'm not too fond of the new material, in fact, I'm disappointed. When Morrissey stated that this album is his strongest, I expected something like Your Arsenal or Vauxhall and I - Years of Refusal is completely different than those, rather approaching You Are the Quarry, I'd say.
Maybe the strength of this album is yet there to find, maybe I need to listen to it at a higher volume, maybe it just needs to grow on me a bit.
I just hope that I won't be going around singing Disappointed all the time, after all...

I have to admit I am loving this album! It feels very...complete! Very rounded.
I think that 'All You Need Is Me' and 'That's How People Grow Up' are refreshed when heard in context! Kristeen Young's wailing intro suddenly works!!!
It will be good to hear it when less compressed but this is great for those of us who can't wait!
And yes I will be buying the official release. Always have done always will. It's a given!

I've only played so far the first three tracks and they are excellent!
Will still be getting the official version on day of release.

Having listened to the album for almost ten times now, I still find it quite dissatisfying. The only tracks that I actually like are Something Is Squeezing My Skull and It's Not Your Birthday Anymore (which is IMHO the best one from the whole album).
There must be something wrong with me, since - until now - I've met only one person who would share my feelings about this album. :|
Oh, well. I'll still be going to Morrissey's Berlin gig.

Album is great... My favorite tracks "Something Is Squeezing My Skull", "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" and classics "That's How People Grow Up" & "All You Need Is Me", but for me... No.1 is "When Last I Spoke To Carole" I really love this song! :P

Not many artists ever come out and say that their new album is crap though!!!
Labour of love (or should be).
Personally i like "Viva Hate" and that's about it, though i lost interest a long time ago in his solo career.
Glad other people still like it though.

Good point. After all, we all know what Coldplay's been saying about their 2008 album before its release.

I completely agree with you about 'Carol'...fabulous song.
People on other forums are calling this a 'filler'...?????!!!! Each to their own I guess.
'Birthday' is a killer though! Instant Classic!

Oh yes, IMHO the definite best. Other highlights include Skull and Paris, at least for me. Maybe I'll come around to liking other songs, but it doesn't look like it right now.
