Bristol........fantastic place but not a great gig.........This is not the full concert just the first 9 songs, I don't know why I stopped recording but I obviously did,
I think it was because the gig as a whole seemed at the time a bit Smiths by numbers if that makes any sense.
Also there is a bit of distortion on Morrisseys' vocals in certain places. I think maybe I gave up waiting for the sound to be sorted out. It reminded me of my first Ramones gig when everytime Joey sang my ears warbled.
Anyway for (sort of) completists only......
4 April 1985
Hippodrome, Bristol
William, It Was Really Nothing
Nowhere Fast
I Want The One I Can't Have
What She Said
Hand in Glove
How Soon Is Now?
Stretch Out And Wait
That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore
Shakespeare's Sister

I think I know what you mean with Smiths by numbers, but perhaps it was simply your own fault, going to see them too often on the same tour? ;-)
All kidding aside, it's a testament to the band's greatness that even as a live band they went from strength to strength, continually improving from early '84 over late '84 into Spring '85 and then the US tour leading into the simply wonderful Fall '85 trek through Scotland.

Forgotten you had recorded this one. I seem to remember I was a bit wiped out at this show ... so probably don't remember much.
I have a number of your master tapes from the 85 tour ... we kept all the masters together and I ended up with them. I should transfer all your versions and put them up when I have a bit of time.
One thing that would be worth putting up is the tapes of the later 86 shows. I didn't record any of the QID tour apart from Manchester as I was trying to video, and I think the copies I have of your recordings are on only average quality tapes. I've put them all up here, but if you still have the masters I'm sure they would be worth while improvements

Thank you very much for this completely uncirculated recording. It's like Christmas for me every time stuff like this becomes available.
For those of you who like to have separated tracks, I've prepared a cuesheet file. It does not alter the original file in any way (which isn't desirable). If you put this file in the same folder as the FLAC file and open it with a supported media player (foobar2000 is my choice), you'll see the contents of the file neatly separated into individual tracks. Have fun. :)

I'm still digging around for anything worthwhile posting but I can't seem to find a lot of stuff I thought I had but everything is all over the place (I'd never make a good librarian). Still onwards and upwards......
Thanks XAVeRY for doing the cuesheets I'm still new at this, Hopefully it will get better.
