Thought I'd pop this link here, I'm slowly (and I mean slowly) working through all of the bands original TV appearances and trying to make them more presentable for a casual viewing. I've uploaded the first two here: http://www.youtube.com/user/MeltedHearingAid?feature=watch
Two versions of This Charming Man up at the moment, The Tube and Riverside. Using Soundsville's version of the Riverside broadcast mixed with the digital Arsenal broadcast, I've made as near a complete version of the song and removed the station logo for most of the song.
I may compile these to DVD if people want them but will keep updating the YouTube channel as and when I finish them. Any comments/suggestions welcome, especially if there's a better source I've missed.

Great idea. Fantastic stuff. Let me know if I can help. You even erased the logo!
Glad you put detailed notes.

Thanks David. I'm tackling each one in order I think so if you spot anything that can be surpassed in quality, please let me know. And I shall most likely take you up your offer at some point...
Currently on the hunt for a copy of Video Bongo to see if the beginning of TCM from Riverside is intact... All DVD's I've seen have no intro...

I'm sure you're doing it already, but just 'riverside' through the search feature here.
Occasionally I see a YouTube version which is better quality than what we have here, so worth checking there too.

Hi escapist.
On the audio side of things, here are few things you could use:
This is a gently remastered version of the Arsenal live tracks, with two significant differences: the crowd noise from a bootleg has been added between songs and a major fluff by Johnny has been corrected (I think at the beginning of Handsome Devi)l.
This is a remastered version of the Madrid concert a few days later, with the tiny silences which occur in the best video version fixed. There are a couple of blemishes in the recording that I missed, but I might be able to fix these with enough notice. The speed of the video would need correcting by exactly 0.05% and I cut out some of the crowd noise, sorry.
This is the final Tube performance, although it has a fuck up in it during SATB. I may fix this one day.
I also have versions of Bigmouth on OGWT and (possibly - because I never actually finished the job) the Eldorado performances which are likely to be better than anything you already have. Let me know.
Thanks.

Thanks! Currently working on the Derby OGWT show, restoring the intro and end credits and using the VH1 audio as to my ears it sounds much better. Trouble is the audio is missing some minor sections between songs (such as Moz's comments before Pretty Girls....). That will go up soon!
Gonna approach them in date order. Or at least thats the plan...

Looking ahead, I know the Y.E.S. performance is going to cause problems, but does anyone have any sources for either performance (WDDIM and TNHOME)

I updated last night with the OGWT Derby and Generation 80 performances:
OGWT - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jlB1LBFBUc
Video taken from the Brazilian DVD with intro and end credits restored from the VH1 version. Also replaced the audio with the VH1 version with a few minor tweaks to EQ and levels. Had to patch in some audio from the Brazilian DVD though during some of the between song chat as this was missing from the VH1 version (presumably due to advert breaks)
Generation80 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do_Ltosghj0
Nothing major here, just replaced the audio with the remastered version and gave it a clean ending.
Once I've got 2 hours or so of material, I'll compile the first DVD (implying further volumes but who knows at this stage!!! I will try!). I worry it'll be a bit repetitive but it'd be nice to have everything in one place at least!
Still on the hunt for a good YES broadcast (aren't we all though?). I tried something using the start of the Not Like Any Other Love BBC doc excerpt and splicing it to the best colour version I ripped from YouTube, but I'd love to track down the source... Oh to raid the BBC archives....
