NOTE: There was a little clipping on the first set of files seeded, so a new torrent has now been put up instead. 1 Reel Around The Fountain
2 Hand In Glove
3 Accept Yourself (piano version)
4 You’ve Got Everything Now
5 What Difference Does It Make? (sober version)
6 Wonderful Woman
7 Miserable Lie
8 The Hand That Rocks The Cradle
9 Jeane
10 These Things Take Time
11 Handsome Devil
12 I Don’t Owe You Anything
13 Accept Yourself (plain version)
14 What Difference Does It Make? (drunk version)
15 Suffer Little Children My version of the tape seeded here by Soundsville Paul. Some of you will have the version previously done by Analog Loyalist, which used to be available on Mediafire. However, I humbly suggest that this new version is better. It has a better EQ (IMO), I've fixed countless tape glitches of varying degrees of seriousness, tried to make the speeds more accurate. I've also included the introductory machine noises and count-ins, and a bit more audio at the end of the tracks. There really is a noticeable improvement. Compare, for example, the start of Suffer Little Children on the two different remasters. This is not the final version of the Troy Tate sessions, but a collection of early rough monitor mixes, which would have been done just to be able to have a tape of how things were progressing. It has mistakes here and there, but the sound quality is phenomenal. Here are a few preview files. In each case, the second thing you hear is my remaster. This one is a typical example of a glitch in the tape being fixed. I did this lots and lots of times altogether. This one shows a fix in What Difference. This one is the beginning of Suffer Little Children, where I think the benefit of the remaster is particularly audible.

It's just not part of this set of early mixes. The version that Soundsville Paul included is the official, final version that was released as a b-side.

Ta, you've done a great job on this.
Not listened to it all but what I have heard sounds great and passes the earphone test!

Good work on fixing the dropouts etc.
I was doing a similar thing using Izotope RX.
What program are you using?

I'm just a hobbyist and I'm not using expensive software. For dropouts, it's Audacity. That probably means I'm doing ten times the work I need to, I would guess. One thong I couldn't manage is fixing the wobble at the beginning of the "sober" version of WDDIM. In the past, I've been able to fix problems like that by manipulating the speed in Cubase, but it didn't want to work this time. If anyone is able to fix it using fancy software, please have a go.

Well, I think this is a flutter, although it may be a wow. It's at about two seconds in...

You might want go a bit easy with the levels next time...tops of the waveform have been clipped off losing some dynamics.

Yes, there is a little bit of clipping, but I didn't think it was worth worrying too much about. It happened in the final EQ, and I still have copies of them as they were just before this, so I could re-do them without much trouble. I'll do that if there's popular demand, although I'd think the difference would be noticeable to humans. Thing with torrenting, though is that its awkward once people are seeding.
